I’ve been trying to find time between my “regular” job and my family to start my own creative business. Attending this event would be just the kick-start I need! And I’d bring my mom, since she’s pretty crafty too :)

    • It won’t let me comment on my own still after 2 hours so I am trying to see if I can comment on someone elses comment. I would LOVE to get a chance to win this for my daughter and myself! Thanks. I tweeted this too for an additional chance.

    • Linda Hicks says:

Also, cannot seem to enter blog without reply.
PICK ME – I would LOVE to go to absorb more creative ideas and information – I am a MaryJaneFarm Fan having been to her farm, subscribe to her publications, and my daughter is one of her featured writers (speaking at the event). I would take my best friend of 27 years especially since 5 years ago we now live in different states. It would be a creative event of a lifetime for us.

      • Kimberly Cherrine-Bell says:

I would be so over the moon delighted to have the opportunity to attend this event. I am one the creatives in the trenches, curbside crawling, digging in dumpsters and recycling other “trash” into treasures for a living. Building, painting, sewing, and general creating almost every single day for the last 9 years is exciting but we could use a “creativity wonderland” boost and break all in one..This would be like our dreamland “disney” trip to us….I would love to be able to bring my curbside crawling, building, crazy loving partner in “crime” and life with me…My loving wonderful hubby…A convention full of women certainly would not in least bother him and there is no one I would rather go with since we just feed of each others creative vibes.

    • Linda Kunz says:

I lost my son 5 months ago. We were planning on opening an Art Cafe and Studio. In honor of my son I plan to pursuit his dreams. I don’t know of anything he would want more. He was a professional chef, and he considered culinery his way of expressing his creativeness. I on the other hand was planning to oversee the art/craft studio. I am trying to educate myself in everyway possible. I have enjoyed creating with my family since I was a very young child. If I would win, I plan to bring my daughter to the event as well. She is studying Fashion in College.

    • Jana Miller says:

I would bring Marti. She was the one who helped me out when I first started blogging 4 years ago. I would like to go so we can hang out together and learn new things. And be silly. She’s over 50 and I’m 46 so in blog land, we are the old people but in our heads we are young! My first pc was an apple first generation…hahaha

      xo Jana

I want to go because I was SOOOO inspired by volunteering last year and didn’t get enough play time! Want to take my mom, who has been an “original” handmade creator since I was born. I always blew it off, never appreciated her work that much, but now, see she was leading the way and gave me a lot of skills I use in my own business. AND I am due for some inspiration right now! :) Thanks!

  8. Oh, my gracious, I would LOVELOVELOVE to win these tickets! I am just beginning to learn about blogging (you can see my site is just bare bones) and am very interested in getting it going. I keep gazing at the TCC schedule, all the while dreaming of how I might come by the money to get there. My hubby is a farmer, we just finished putting 2 kids through college, have another in her 2nd year and I have gone back for my degree in graphic design. So dollars are a precious commodity at our house. Winning these truly be a gift. Who would I bring? Hmmm….my friend Michelle. She is a photographer and cook, and would enjoy the TCC as much as me – just in a different way!

  9. catherine s. says:

  10. Christi says:

I would LOVE to attend this event! I would take my SIL, Missy, as she and I share the craft bug!

  11. catherine s. says:

This has got to be the BEST giveaway out there…in my (humble) opinion, it’s better than Oprah’s Favorite Things.

Anyway, I’m a life artist, constantly trying new things through this journey called life. I’m a dedicated work-at-home mom and wife in the creative field (freelance graphic design) and would LOVE this chance to spend some creative, crafty, focused time away at a conference like this (sounds just BLISSFUL) to spread my wings and enjoy the environment.

Seriously, I’d have to put names in a hat and draw one out to determine who would accompany me because most, if not all, of my friends and family are very creative. As they say, birds of a feather flock together – and it’s so true!

Thanks for the chance to win!!!

  12. Erin Davies says:

Oooo oooo pick me! I loved TCC last year and would love to catch up with everyone as well as meet new people this year. With 8 kids it’s not in the checkbook this year but who ever wins will with out a doubt have a blast and learn a ton.

  13. I would love to go to the Creative Connection to jumpstart my textile design business. I have always been a crafty girl and would love to be surrounded by other crafty girls! I would bring my BFF, Inspired Butterfly (http://purelyinspired.blogspot.com/) because she inspires me to craft every day!

  14. Just put a link on my sidebar! Hope I did it correctly….

It would honestly be a dream come true to attend the creative connection event. I have 4 sons so I don’t get to travel much for creative reasons. There is something about being in a room filled with creative people that feeds your souls like nothing else does. I would dearly love to bring my best friend along, to experience a creative connection (pun intended) of her own for the very first time!!!!

I don’t use twitter but I did promote on my Facebook page.

    • Melissa Bailes says:

Please pick me for this creative get away so I can bring my very best friend from college with me.

  20. I would love to win a trip to TCCE. I was an attendee and a participant in the HandMade Market last year and it was truly a life-changing event for me. I made so many connections and met so many people that I wouldn’t have had I not been there. The experience has set me on the path for my creative business and I know, from attending, that everything I can imagine is possible. It takes a lot of work and perseverance, but it’s certainly possible!

I would take along one of my quilting girlfriends from the Cincinnati Modern Quilt Guild. We would have a blast!

Thanks so much for the wonderful giveaway.

  21. I would SO love to be entered!!!!!! My good friend Missy (actually Cheryl, but we call her Missy) and I have been talking about going to TCC for months! We Met MaryJane Butters (she’ll be there!) a few months ago and we started talking about going. The glitch?…My husband lost his job in January. I just couldn’t even think about talking to my husband about attending. Well, things are looking up! He started a new job this week! I would love to attend and enter the lottery for the book deal session! So pick me random.org, pick me!

  25. I’ve added The Creative Connection button to my side bar as well ~

If I win I would take my sister and business partner, but since she can’t take time off from her day job I would take either my friend Jackie or Christa… on second thought, nope I think we would all have to go and just split the cost of the third ticket ;-) I would take Miss Jackie because she is an amazing cook who would love the MaryJane’s Farm Day; Miss Christa would love all the photography classes; and we would ALL love the business classes. Not to mention the fun of hanging out for three days together!

    Ok – here’s my tweet link: https://twitter.com/#!/andersonkiki

As a 20-something learning the industry and learning how to be an entrepreneur while juggling two little ones, a husband and a house, I think this event would be SO beneficial for me! The workshops look incredible.

If I won, I would take my mom! She’s my creative inspiration and it would be a wonderful get away for us both!

  33. I would love to win this giveaway ! I started my own recycled and up-cycled craft business that use to be just a hobby back in Feb and this would give me tons of new ideas and inspire me to press forward towards my goal of a actual store front! I would take my sister who keeps me pumped with positive thoughts and good sound advice and 2nd opinions.

  34. taradara says:

I want to attend BlogHer Handmade and The Creative Connection Event because I KNOW first hand how much it can do for my business. There is just so many connections to be made; so many friendships to be found; so much knowledge to be absorbed. It’s hard to harness just a few things of why I want to attend TCCE, but those are 3 very broad and general reasons.

I would bring my very good friend, Holly from Montana because her and I are 2 peas in a pod. We ‘get’ eachother. We think very much alike and don’t have hold eachother’s hand at events like these. We both have been through a lot in the last little while with our families and would both really enjoy the time to have some girl time and be in a place where we BOTH are understood.

Thanks for the opportunity to win!!!!

  35. I would love to go to this conference to learn more and help me to become a better blogger. Being creative and crafting is my passion, and I love to share my passion with my readers. I would bring my BFF Nina who is also a blogger!

I would bring my dear friend Grace with me who is an avid crafter and blogger herself. I know she’d absolutely think she’d died and gone to Heaven.

  44. If I won these tickets I would invite my sister to come with me because she had a blog first and was my inspiration, she is so busy working in corporate world she doesnt blog much anymore. I would love for her to be inspired again.

I would love to win these tickets even though Im deathly afraid to fly on airplanes! Im the mother of 5 and wife to a great man and my biggest supporter. I have 2 blogs and 2 Etsy shops where I sell my handmade & vintage items. My dream is to open my own store one day and be a shop owner and inspire people to create beautiful homes for themselves. I love WWC and Im a big fan of Elizabeth Maxson she has been a great mentor to me and I would love to meet her in person. I would probably faint if I won this. I have been trying to figure out a way to get to TCC since I first heard about it. So many of the classes are being taught by people I admire and this would be an amazing venue to be inspired, try new (crating) techniques, and generally be amazed and in awe of the talent that is out there. And let’s face it, it is an awesome event and I would LOVE to be there.

I would take my mom because she inspired my crafting – I remember her crafting all the time and she used to sell at fairs. I would love to see her rekindle that love.

I think the Creative Connection event would be the kick in the seat of the pants that I need to take my art/design business to the next level. I would take a fellow artist friend – we talked early on about attending to share expenses and double our enthusiasm but the financial numbers just didn’t pencil out…the look of surprise on her face when she finds out she is attending would be incredible!

  87. Sarah says:

This conference is everything my blog encompasses…..social media, handmade, knitting, and cooking (OK, minus the knitting which my mom has tried to teach me a several occasions). “I Blame My Mother”, is a little bit of everything because of my mom. She is the most well rounded and creative person I know, and because she is my mom she got me interested in all sorts of stuff! Of course, I would bring her! And the cool part is that I live in Florida and she lives in St. Paul so it would be a wonderful time for mother/daughter bonding over just the things that brought us close in the first place.

I would love to attend because I would love to meet others that share the same passions I do, especially those that are successfully making a living doing what they love. I would take my friend Danielle with me. She is super creative as well and would love to attend.

  92. I’ve been dying to get to this event since I first heard about it – for the inspiration, networking, and to support Terry Grahl/Enchanted Makeovers! Just not the right time for me financially. I would bring my daughter – she loves being a part of my creative business and I would love to expose her to such a great world of creative people. (I would also LOVE to meet and thank – Jo Packham – her books are what gave me the push to do what I love!)

  93. annettek says:

I cannot tell you how much I want to attend this. I would love to be surrounded by such creative people and be inspired by them. I’m not sure who I would bring with me, I have a few friends who are all super talented and it would be hard to choose!

  94. annettek says:

and I liked you on FB :)

  95. I’d love to go! There is nothing like spending a weekend with a place full of creatives to get my inspiration on! Not to mention, seeing old friends and new and I would definitely take my biz partner and bestie, Chris Ann.

I really, really, really want to attend TCC because I’m a blogger who has recently begun to write professionally for craft websites. I’d love to expand my network and meet potential clients. I would also like to learn how to better represent myself and my writing–the Pitch Slam sounds amazing! If I had the opportunity to win passes for me and a friend, I would bring along my dear friend, Bethany, who has always encouraged me to publish my writing. We live too far from one another to see each other often, so we would have SO MUCH FUN spending three days together learning and laughing. Thanks for the opportunity!

  109. carrie a says:

I’d love to go because I’m a crafts book editor and always need to stay in touch with what’s new in the crafting world. I want to win/attend because not a day (or perhaps hour?) goes by without me daydreaming about what I’m making (quilting, knitting, crocheting, or embroidering), what I want to make next, how I can make more, and how I could possibly spend whole days making instead of sitting at a desk all day. As well, I have entered the pitch for a gift product company. Having left my home last year, putting everything in storage, my husband, my cat and my car, leaving our families to drive across country in search of jobs…I have finally settled and am ready to start anew. I would relish being with these women who can only increase my passionate drive to embrace my creative energies.

  147. Stefanie says:

I have wanted to attend since last year when I was unable to go!! I think this event will not only give me but other women a chance to realize their Dreams and make them come to reality!! I would bring a friend, Kristen…….she is about 15 yrs younger than me, but we are SO much alike. She is trying to start her own business in a very small town…..her Passion is contagious!!

I have been struggling to find my creative wings for a while now. I do finally feel at home with the creative bloggers I have “virtually” met over the last two years, but I want more. I want to meet people in person, learn more, learn everything and be further inspired by the work of others. I would bring my BFF Kimberly who has more talent in her little finger than most, but rarely gets the opportunity to employ it. Plus, we both need a break from our kids! We keep talking about a time we steal away for a few days, but it has yet to happen. This could be it!

  184. I so would love to go and I would bring my husband because he is my best friend forever

  185. Janet Forrest says:

I owned a gift shop for 20 years, and as a part of it, made and sold many of my own creations. I sold it 5 years ago to care for my grandchildren while their parents work. Although I LOVE being with them, I miss terribly being immersed in a creative atmosphere. So I am now on a journey to incorporate creativity into every facet of my life. Attending your event is the first step in that journey, and I am sooooooo excited!

If selected, I will be bringing my friend Carolyn who shares my passion for creativity!

    I tweeted at @stillidealistic!

When I see the list of panelists and keynotes, I know this could be the spark I need. I have been researching to start my own blog, and the information from BlogHer Handmand would be invaluable! 192. jeswel says:

I would love to attend this event. I’m always looking for a way to energize my creativity and gather new ideas and anything that spurs me to action is awesome. Not sure who I would take with me. My first thought is my mother. She is always telling me that she isn’t creative and I know better than anyone that isn’t true. I would love something like this to encourage her creativity.
I also tweeted & liked on facebook. :)

  193. I’d love to go & get the chance to be around all these creative people– there is nothing more inspiring!

And I’d take my sis-in-law. Like me she has 4 kids and work and school and never gets away to do anything fun!

  194. Berta says:

I will be losing my regular job on Sept 9th :( and this would be a wonderful way to connect with other creative people and see if I could make a living with my arts & crafts, make it my new career? 202. Melanie Thompson says:

I would LOVE to come to the BlogHer Creative Connection event! I homeschool my four kids. I’ve found that art and crafts projects are sometimes ‘pointless’ when you get right down to it. I prowl the internet for projects we can do that are creative and yet fill a need in our home–something for the wall, a table top, something for the garden, jewelry, things that we can give as gifts, etc. None of that coloring-in-the-lines business for us!! I have tons and tons (and tons) of supplies, but I’m always short on ideas with what to do with everything. We moved into an area that is loaded with thrift shops and no craft supply shops, so we’ve recently learned the value of reusing things for our art and crafts projects. I also have some nifty ideas for turning a few of our projects into a business and would like to see how others have done the same thing. I would bring my sister along if she is feeling well, as she is always doing art projects, even though she has an advancing form of MS. But if her health was not up to par, I would bring my friend, Deanna, with me. She is an art teacher who makes amazing jewelry. She sells a few items here and there, and I would really like to give her some encouragement to do a lot more of that! I think The Creative Connection would fill the bill!

  203. Laure Janus says:

Oh how I would love to be part of this amazing event. I’ve been out of work for over a year and the only positive in this is I’ve had the time to really work at my art. I’m wondering if the universe is telling me to stop worrying about health care and salaries and just take the leap? I’ve been an artist since the day I was born but could sure use some insight on the business side of things. This opportunity has the potential to help change my life; at the very least it would be an amazing time to soak up creative energy and meet some of my most favorite and admired people in the art world. Happy Birthday and thanks for offering this opportunity!

  204. Laure Janus says:

I also liked you on FB. Thanks again!

  205. Megan O'Dea says:

Oh this would just make my year. I was so excited to see you are doing this giveaway, I’m just so anxious to go to this event and sign up for every one of Traci Bautiste’s classes and Princess Lasertron! But finances are a huge barrier :( I would take my very creative girlfriend Karla from http://www.backatyababe.blogspot.com. We have been talking about how we can make it work to get to experience TCC, it just sounds amazing!

    I also tweeted this! http://www.twitter.com/meganrocks

  206. kristi says:

Attending a conference chock full o’crafty people would be a dream. I am thirsty for knowledge from women who had a dream and followed their hearts through to success. I am one of those women. My dream is just taking a little longer. I would bring my friend Lee because she also knows there is a fire in her belly and she just needs a map to help her navigate her journey.

  207. I have spent the last year taking a break from my struggling small business to really refocus my creative efforts. I felt utterly lost between the stress of a business, my own creative choas, and my family balancing act. So I decided to Master the Art of Being Me. Not an easy task and one I’m still working on for life. What I did discover however was a greater passion for creating time for myself, letting go of what doesn’t matter most, and allowing myself permission to be the best Me! And allowing others to do the same. In the process I’ve also discovered a new passion and a better business idea for my future. Going to The Creative Connection is on my list of things to experience where everything I’ve learned in the last year and lifetime can come together and I can continue my own inspirational trail with other women. I would take my creative genius friend Joanna with me who has really encouraged me and has yet to bite off the big chunk she needs to get her business launched.

I’d so love to attend! I’ve heard that this is *the* even to be at, and it seems like it would be such a great resource for someone working through their first year of business-owning, such as I. :)

Oh, and I’d totally bring my husband. He’s my best friend and partner, and is so supportive of all the things I do. I’d love to get to share that time with him.

  209. I would love, love, LOVE to win this! I am a new blogger, and would love the opportunity to learn and grow and meet some inspiring people at the event! I would take my sister who is extremely talented and who started her own blog, but needs a bit of a push to really get going.

  210. Connie says:

Oh…I want to go because my blogs are my outlet…yup, my blogS. I have one documenting my weight loss…one for my crazy puzzle making hubby…a picture one…and my “real” one. I love comments. I love blogging. I love it I love it I love it. As to who I’d take with me? My initial thought is my husband. Because he is my favorite traveling buddy and because he supports and puts up with my blogging. Or perhaps my sister…who has started blogging herself. Or perhaps my friend because we haven’t had a girls’ trip for a long time. Or perhaps one of my daughters…because they put up with my saying, “Apparently, you haven’t read my blog”. :)

  211. Tina says:

My friend Gina and I have been dying to come for a couple of years now. Money has prevented us. This would be an amazing opportunity for us ;)

  212. Crystal says:

I would LOVE to go to TCC. It’s close enough to not have to fly (eek!) and I know I would learn SO much that I don’t know about my craft, doing what I love, and making it my livelihood. I would totally bring a girlfriend from this area. We’re all military wives & some of us rely on the handmade businesses to travel with us as we move around supporting our hubbies :)

  213. Tina says:

    like you on FB.

  214. Blogged about….actually I Bragged about this amazing connection of Creativity!! WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Here goes!! Fingers crossed!!******

  221. Ooh, maybe it will work this time!

I am just excited thinking about how exciting it would be to win a trip to the CCE. I have dreamt of being in a place where all of these fantastic, creative, people are gathered…what a boost to mental, physical…WORLD health, it could be!
If I get to go, I am thinking of asking a friend who is SO creative and too humble…I think it would open up her mind!

Shared the event on my FB page for my Etsy shop, http://www.stitchuation.etsy.com, as I know there will be people who follow me that will want to enter the contest too!
    Stitchuation
The Creative Connection event is having a contest to win two tickets plus hotel to the event–I am posting this because it is part of my entry, I really want to go AND I know that other creative-types who have “liked” my page would love to go connect with like minds at this event–so you should enter too!

I am excited just thinking about how exciting it would be to be at the CCE, surrounded by other people who are creative and caring….how could it not boost one’s health, state of mind, creativity etc?! It would boost WORLD health!–all of the joy and inspiration that will grow because of the event.
If I get to go I think I will ask a certain friend who is very creative and too humble–it would open her eyes!

  223. Karen Larson says:

I want to come because I love being crafty and creative and I want to LEARN new things to keep me inspired. I have a couple of people in mind to take with me…not saying who just yet because if I win I want them to be surprised also!

  224. Julie says:

I have a sewing business that I really need to get better at promoting. I would probably take my friend who is also trying to do something creative on the side.

  225. Kari Wolf says:

I would LOVE the oppurtunity to learn about blogging/advancing myself in my choosen form of art expression, but also experience all the other oppertunities at this wonderful venue. Not to mention being able to cross off one thing off my bucket list: ) I would love to take my BFF Carol who is a wonderful mixed media artist/teacher as I’m also : ) You can find me on Facebook Kari Wolf I’ll post this on there also !!!!

  226. I would LOVE to attend to have 100% time to focus on my own development as a blogger. I have a bloggy BFF in mind that I’d like to take along who is a fantastic editorial blogger. What a great opportunity! – MoMomma

  227. Theresa says:

I can’t wait to win my tickets & attend BlogHer Handmade and The Creative Connection Event because even creative people need to be inspired :) I would have to take my friend Traci because she inspires me everyday with her ability to finish all jobs big and small … I am more a starter less of a finisher :)

  228. Alisa Klein says:

I would love to go with my friend Megan Fischer because we both need to get our creative juices flowing and I can’t think of a better place to get that done. Thanks for the chance to win! I will also be friending you on facebook.

  229. Vik says:

Need some inspiration and motivation. I think that this would just be the ticket!!!! Thanks for a chance to win!

  230. Cheri Heaton says:

I want to win these tickets because I’ve been blogging everyday for a year and a half now, working hard to build my blog and I’ve never been able to attend a blogging/creative conference. Plus, my birthday is coming up in a few days (wink, wink) and it would be a dream present. I would bring my mom because she rocks. She’s an artistic genius and she taught me everything I know. If you pick me I’ll dance on the tables at the conference there out of sheer joy ;)

  231. Jessica says:

I would love to come because I am working on starting my own crafty business! I would love to bring my mom just because she deserves it!

  232. kate says:

I would love to go! I have never been to a blog conference but it sounds like so much fun! I would want to learn how to expand a handmade business. I think I would take my husband because he would understand my world a little better! Is that weird? Oh well!

  233. Why pick me? Because I took a dare nearly a year ago that there was a spot in Crafty Blogland for women to create and thrive without a budget … that financial circumstances did not have to define or destroy one’s ability to improve their homes and lives … that writing and sharing my adventures about in living the life I wanted to live even if normal never returned with resonate with other women. And at nearly 1,000 followers, this little experiment is ready for the next level–ready to grow and really become something bigger than one woman and one family. But as to the how? I’m overwhelmed. I’ve wanted to attend blogging conferences like CC to learn the business side of blogging (as well as bathe in the rush of creativity that comes from being around so many talented people!) The person I’d absolutely take is my online blog buddy Caroline of Artfully Caroline. We met through blogging and her advice and friendship has been one of the absolute best things about joining this community.

  234. kate says:

  235. bryssy says:

  239. Wendy Foster says:

I don’t yet have a blog so attending this event would help me get started plus after attending the Gilded Girls retreat this summer I have started making and selling my crafts. The convention would really help get my creative juices flowing. I would take my mother because she is opening her own antique store this fall and this would really be a boost for her store ideas.

  240. Rachel says:

I would LOVE to attend with my mom! We both love creating handmade goodies, and she even recently opened a crafty little handmade boutique. It would be so fun for us to attend a creative event like this together!

  241. Rachel says:

  248. HiLLjO says:

I want to go because I have some real creative potential but I am really confused at where to start building that! I would love to talk to and hear from other gals who have done what I want to do.
I would love to take my true best friend… my husband. And I would totally drag him to Princess Lasertron workshops.

  249. Leigh says:

I would love to come to TCC and Blogher handmade because I have so much to learn. I would love to be surrounded by women who get me and who I can learn so much from and connect with. The speakers and keynotes sound wonderful and I can’t even imagine how awesome it would be.
I would take my friend Amy. She is super talented, crafty and a joy to talk to. I know that she would appreciate and love this conference as much as I would! (*also, I’ve never gotten to meet her IRL so I’d really love that!!)

  250. I just opened a little shop in South Dakota and could use some inspiration and “know how” of running a successful business! I would bring my older sister because she is crafty, fun but most importantly would kick my a*s if I didn’t. :)

  251. Lorie says:

I want to attend because I love learning and being inspired by such amazingly creative women and I would bring my best friend Michelle because she is the most creative person I know and I adore her!

  252. Leigh says:

One mo’ time–I would be ecstatic to GO to this awesome event—I can’t even imagine the wondrous-ness of it, but am dreaming! I would take my friend Dawn and OPeN her EYES to how talented SHE is! It is so fun to dream about it.
Attending this event is an inspiration to me to ramp up my creativity and production in my little Etsy shop, Stitchuation, so I could someday fun a trip to the CCE!

  254. Rhonda Larson says:

Would love to attend this event! Meeting some of the wonderful teachers and spending time with like-minded people would be a great way to spend the weekend.

I would take my daughter. She is a creative soul too and we love to work on projects together.

Thanks for the chance to win!

  255. amanda jones says:

I would love to win and attend such a fun event! I would take another fellow blogger and live it up!

  256. amanda jones says:

    I follow on facebook!

  257. I’d love to go to TCC because I’ve heard so many Tweeters talk about it. I’m a fledgling blogger and crafter but really want to expand both – and even dream of it becoming a business someday. Attending TCC would be a big boost to my confidence and give me an arsenal of tips as I move forward! I would take my friend, Brooke, because she is just starting her very own business and it involves crafting and blogging – we would learn so much together and be able to encourage each other after attending TCC.

  258. I would love to win this! My blog is still pretty new and I could use any information to help me learn to be successful. I have an etsy shop but there is not much in it. I would bring my bff Misty, she is my ‘partner in crafting’.

  259. I also ‘like’ you on Facebook and wrote on your wall:)

I would take my best friend, cause we live 550 miles apart, and it would be so awesome to get a weekend away together!

  262. i love any and all forms of creative expression– i’ll try any art at least once! i would love to take my mom to this– i think she’s get very amped at a conference filled with talented women!

    Love this prize!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  264. To be among kindred spirits, to learn from those who love sharing, to create with those who love inspiration, to leave the daily for just a little while and then to come home, refreshed, recharged, inspired with new memories, new friends and new “treasures” I would take my mother..She is my best friend, my teacher, my cheerleader, a wonderful woman who I love with all my heart!!!

  265. Amy Bayliss says:

I would take my sister with me. She and I are like PB&J. No, that’s not creative enough. We are like Paula Deen and butter. Or something like that. :)

We just love to create stuff… make new out of old, repurpose, duplicate, and make it all pretty. I would just dig hanging out with all these amazing peeps and learning new stuff.

  266. Liberty says:

I have been dying to attend the Creative Connection! To be surrounded by such an incredible collection of inspirational and influential people and in such a gorgeous spot! It would be like a dream! I could only hope to leave a stronger contributor to my niche.

I would bring my Mom or my sister – whichever would brave the plane ride. LOL Both are amazingly strong women at the beginnings of creating their own businesses.

  267. Liberty says:

Tweeted all the good fun to my followers.

  268. Amy Bayliss says:

  270. Amy Cornwell says:

The first reason I’d like to win is because September 15th is MY BIRTHDAY!! That and I’d love to meet more crafty ladies and network. I’d take my best friend Chrissy because she wants to start her own crafty business as well. Thanks for the opportunity!

  271. I’d love to win, and come to the event! I’d love to connect and learn from more amazing women. I’d bring my friend Destiny along with me!

  272. I tweeted @andreaworley

  273. I also shared on Facebook andrea.worley5

  274. Selfishly, I would just love to be able to win and attend the Creative Connection because I enjoy all apects of creating/crafting/ art (just can’t pick a favorite). Unselfishly, I would love to be able to take my friend, Victoria who is going through a very tough time right now, as her husband has been diagnosed with cancer. I intriduced her a year ago to art journaling (its been great therapy for her) and she began about two years ago crafting/art with me, but has had to spend less time lately (for obvious and good reason). I would love to be able to win the two tickets and the hotel and take her so that we could spend the creative time together and treat her to a great time that she misses as well as give her a much needed mini vacation. I am embarrased as I dont know how and havent ever to tweeted, but will learn for this opportunity. I do have a blog and will post there as well as (even though I am not a good FBer either) post it on my FB and all I can do to win. Thanks for a great opportunity to win a great thing! Good luck to everyone entering!!!!!

  275. Andrea Hilliard says:

I would love to go to see and be inspired by other crafty people! I am torn on who I’d take though, my bff from high school who likes to be crafty on occasion, or my enterprising photographer friend who is talented and crafty…

  276. Ani says:

    I liked you on facebook…

  277. I would love to attend because I love meeting other bloggers, learning as much as I can, and for once, this seems like a blog even that is right up my alley….creative! I would love to take my mom actually, because while she doesn’t have the chance to craft much any more, she’s always been the silliest, goofiest, most creative person I know and where a lot of my quirky inspiration comes from. She would thoroughly enjoy it and I think it’s the least I could do to include her after everything she’s done for me. <3

  278. Staci Chavez says:

I would abosulutely love to attend this event! I recently launched my new interior design blog and would love to learn more from the experts! I have a creative brain that never stops conjuring up different ideas. I would take my sister because she has always been the creative/crafty type and would be on cloud 9 to attend this event with me!

  279. I tweeted as quirkyjessi. :)

  280. I liked on Facebook as quirkyjessi as well.

  281. I would LOVE to attend TCC and BlogHer handmade because I am new to blogging (just over 8 months) and have never been to a single blogger event! I figure I might as well start at the top and attend what is rumored to be the best one! :) I would choose my sister to go with me. She is the one that helped me get started in blogging and the person I most share crafting and creating with. Plus I just got married and she just graduated high school, so it would be a GREAT sister trip before real life takes over for us! :)

  282. Rebecca Kerger says:

It would be lovely to see all the creativity being exhibited by so many talented ladies! My life is full of caring and nurturing those in my immediate family…current count 33 of us…and I get lost in the idea of planning and doing for them all. My creative friend Candi, Mom/Gramma to her own large family would be my choice in companions. We mesh with love for our families and love to do things for them

  283. Gotta go to the Creative Connection Event! I am already vending, but I would love to fly and also attend a lot of classes. I would bring my crafty daughter so that she could attend the Mary Jane Butters classes! Yahoo!!!
    Marsha SPpaniel

  284. Katie Orse says:

I would love to attend but since I just started my new business I can’t really afford the cost. I would like to take my husband, who has been by my side, helping me sew, creating designs, and so much support. Thank you!

  285. Deb says:

I would love to go to the Creative Connection Event for several reasons. #1 is that I want to meet Mary Jane Butters. I have all her books and magazines and have been a fan since before the first book. As a mom and entrepreneur she has really inspired me. I also live only 3 hours from Minneapolis, so it’s very doable. Unfortunately, with 2 kids starting college this fall I’m not sure I can afford it, so the passes and hotel would be a Godsend.

I would bring my friend Dori Jo because she’s amazingly creative and fun to be around and we’d have a great time together.

  286. Libby Lohnes says:

It would be awesome to be able to attend TCC and I would most definitely bring my mother! She’s so creative and is awesome at everything she does but rarely makes time to let her creative juices flow. This event would hopefully inspire her to inspire others, as she did me growing up. As for me, I’d so enjoy learning more about blogging, creating and take some of the awesome classes :)

  287. Jenny Johns says:

OMGosh this is such a fabulous prize to win (crossing my fingers here)! I would love to attend the BlogHer Handmade and The Creative Connection Event to get some expertise and insight on every business aspect of being creative and starting up a new business. Any tips and hints of success to glean from the all-star line up of speakers would be so valuable and amazing! I would take my friend Jill because we are in the beginning stages of brainstorming on the particulars of our business and we could certainly use some inspiration from this exciting panel! Thanks for such an awesome opportunity to win the event!
    Jen

  288. Libby Lohnes says:

    I like TCC on Facebook.

  289. Megan Corwin says:

Blogging, knitting and Mary Jane are three of my favorite things in life! I recently became a Farmgirl Sisterhood member and would love to see Mary Jane in person. Blogging and knitting are two of my favorite past times, and I would love the learn more about running a creative business. I would bring my mom with me because taught me to knit and is always a fun travel companion.

  290. Libby Lohnes says:

    I tweeted as @scraphappyutah!

  291. Mary Jo Vick says:

I’ve actually already filled out the registration form but chickened out when it came to making the commitment. I was so happy to see an email in my inbox that said that i had begun the registration but had not finished. I appreciate the follow-through.

This event would really orchestrate a turning point for me. I’ve been a chiropractor for the last 14 years with a busy practice… and a handmade jewelry company on the side… I am in the process of selling my practice and taking the leap of actually following my artistic spirit. I’ve already got a lot of pieces in place and this event would send me flying!

I would love to take my Mom. She is a brilliant woman and my absolute biggest supporter.

PS… we have a ranch in west Texas and she and I dream of having a place similar to Mary Jane’s… so when we saw the entire DAY that you can be with the group we almost passed out. Collectively. I’ve been telling my mom about Mary Jane’s Farm for YEARS.

So the entire event would be good for our souls on so many levels. Crossing our fingers and toes… ‘in it to win it’.

  292. Jen Gall says:

I would SO love to attend the TCC Event because crafting/creating gives me such a feeling of joy and fulfillment, and I love sharing that with others. It would be a true gift to win this prize and take my friend Jenny. She gives of herself so much, to her friends and her family, and sometimes she forgets to also give to herself. Money is tight for her right now as she has lost some of her best clients (house cleaning) because of the poor economy and what she does have she is spending on her kids with a wedding and a graduation coming up. She deserves some time to nourish her creative soul.

  293. Laura Bowden says:

I would love to take my twin sister. Being with other creative people is inspiring. You can be filled with new ideas and new perspectives AND make new friends!

I know it is slim, but I would love to win! :)

  294. Kathryn says:

I would love to win the passes and hotel accommodations for BlogHer Handmade and The Creative Connection Event. I am recently out of work and have moved to a new town. I would take this opportunity to determine if I can create a business. I would bring my sister, a creative person who is working at a job that is consuming her soul. Thanks for this chance to win!

  295. Laura Bowden says:

I just tweeted “Win a full pass and hotel for you and a friend to BlogHer Handmade & The Creative Connection Event!” http://ht.ly/5Ped4 #tccevent11.

    :)

  296. Ruth Cederstrom says:

I would like to jump start or restart my creative self. I would invite my friend simone who lives in London and is a quilt artist.

  297. Bonny Woomer says:

I recently started a cross-stitch design company (The Nebby Needle) and could use some help making my blog more interesting! If I win the tickets I will bring my friend (and creative kindred spirit) Jenny. She shares my passion for needlework/crafts.

  298. Kristy says:

I started my handmade business two years ago, but the past half year I’ve just gotten a bit overwhelmed. It would be refreshing and rejuvenating to be able to spend two days around successful, crafty women. I know that it would kick start my dreams. I would bring my good friend whom I plan on starting a handmade craft store/craft education space with in the future.

  299. Marie Warda says:

to be surrounded by creative women would be a dream come true. I cannot make enough time to enjoy the creative side of life so this would be wonderful!!! Pick me please

  305. Oh my what a great giveaway! I so wanted to go to The Creative Connection the past few years, but my husband has been out of work for the past 2 years and I can’t spend the $$$. I would love to go to not only connect with other creatives – but to learn new things and get inspired. A room filled with kindred spirits would be a dream come true. I would take a blogging friend who I have always followed and then realized we live 20 minutes apart. We met and I know she would love attending the Creative Connection as much as me.
    My best- Diane

  306. Valorie says:

A dream come true to win a pass and hotel. What a gift! My sister-in-law opened her home for me for the week-end to go SO we’d have a blast in a hotel with FREE tickets! Thanks for the chance to enter!!! So many Bloggy celebs and superstars in one place at one time. It will be quite the shindig!

  309. sherry costello says:

I have never been to any thing like this before and have wanted to go for long time, it would be so much fun. I would just be amazed!!!!! And for who i would bring actually i would come by myself i like going by myself because i no i would meet a whole lot of new friends and for the other ticket draw again and give the ticket to that person!! Thanks so much for the chance to win!!!

  310. Lauren R. says:

I would love to attend The Creative Connection and BlogHer Handmade events, because I would enjoy having the opportunity to learn from other creative women. I was laid off in March, and although I am looking for full-time employment, I keep dreaming that I should use this time to start my own creative business — a dream I have had for years. I would sincerely enjoy the encouragement and advice of successful women on how to get started, the ups and downs, and more. Although I do not blog yet, I want that push to get me started. If I were to be chosen, I would bring my mother. She has inspired me to craft all of my life and encourages me daily to pursue my dreams. She had a crafting business when my sister and I were younger, but she has expressed to me lately that she wants to find a new “project.” I think attending TCC could give her the push she needs to start a new project as well. Thank you for the opportunity!

My daughters and I are thinking of starting a creative business from home. We have been following several ‘craft’ blogs and love all the ideas!

If chosen, I would take along one of my teen daughters to the convention.

Thank you for a great contest!
    Julie

  312. I was just asked today ‘what would I do if I had the chance to start my own business’ and it made me realize I am SO on the edge of doing this! I just need more help on how to do it successfully. I would bring my BFF Amy of course!

  313. Andrea Horst says:

I have just recently enjoyed crafting again and would like to make it profitable! My mom has always been crafty, inspiring my own “I can do that” attitude and would enjoy attending too!

  314. Cheryl says:

I would like to attend because as a writer and designer I believe it will be an inspirational event and full of networking and learning opportunities. If I won, I would take my friend and co-author on an upcoming project. For one, she hardly takes breaks for herself, she lives close by too. But it would also be a good opportunity for both of us.

  315. Jolene Eborn says:

I would LOVE to attend. I am an artist/mom who is trying to balance creating an art business with taking care of my family. If I won, I would take my friend Deb. She would love it too.

  316. Heather Hawkins says:

I am just getting in to all this craft blog world and am in love! I would love to start my own business someday and know going to this conference would put me on the right track. I would absolutely take my mom with me because after all she is where I got my “crafty” side from! She is an amazing women!

  317. Pam Kirshenbaum says:

I would love to take my friend who is a mom to a special needs child. She is very crafty and needs the time away to just play.
Thank You for offering this. :)

  318. Kathryn D says:

I have dreamed of attending this conference and never thought it would be possible due to the expense. If my dream were to come true, I would invite Bea along. She just played taxi for me last week when I had to have surgery and couldn’t drive. I’d pick her for my Mom if I didn’t already have one. To reward her kindness would be wonderful…although she did get a zipper sewn in her freshly knitted sweater while she waited for me!

  319. Kirsten says:

I would LOVE to attend this event for so many reasons. This past year has been the most trying year of my life. My goal for years has been to work from home being creative and crafty and be more involved as a mom. The past year my family and I have been fighting for custody of my 9 year old daughter (back in court after being divorced for 6 years, and I’m remarried now), we’ve dealt with my father-in-law’s sudden and traumatic death in Jan., and my husband survived a motorcycle accident just 1 month ago. My mom has been my rock throughout my life, but most recently during this horrible year. It would be such a blessing for both of us to get away for a weekend, just the two of us, and enjoy time learning from amazing women who can help to lift us up, and help me head in the right direction for living my dream of working from home creatively.

  320. My daughter and I share a creative streak. When she was little, I was a student/and a teacher so summer was a special time for us. As a single mom, money was tight, but creativity was not, and we loved to sew, craft, and create together. At 29, she still is as creative as she was, and I am lucky enough to live a creative life, too. Unfortunately, we do not do that together. Moving in with her father as a teen, she became less interested in sharing her life with me, and eventually we have become estranged. I have not seen her for 12 years. Letters and calls go unanswered. I wonder if this would be a big enough gesture to break through? I could never afford to do it on my own, but perhaps with the free tickets, i could spring for her sister’s trip, too (who I do still have a relationship with, and is also madly creative) and it would take the pressure off, but still be a wonderful experience for all of us. I pray for miracles like this every day.

  321. Oh wow, wow, wow! OK, I would love to come and get inspired! And meet other bloggers! And learn!

And I would bring my friend Teresa from Blooming on Bainbridge:
    http://www.bloomingonbainbridge.blogspot.com
She is a bundle of creative energy, so fun, and so inspiring! I feel like she’s one of my best friends even though we’ve never actually met! :) THAT would be fun!!!

  325. My best friend and I launched our crafting blog in February. We spent an entire year going through a deployment together and once our husbands were home for a few months we decided that we needed something for ourselves and we started blogging about our crafting and sewing projects. This would be an amazing break and gift for the two of us. We both have very young children at home and with us being military spouses we seldom get even a few hours to ourselves for anything. Our husbands work weekends and late into the evening on a fairly regular basis. To have a couple days away to spend time with like minded people and to make invaluable connections would be AWESOME for us. We both have so much to learn and to share. If I won, my bestie Sunni would be coming with me. Hands down!

  326. Vickey Whiteley says:

I would LOVE to win this package because I am a HUGE fan on Jenny’s art and blog. She uses all my Favorite colors and I love all things vintage and pink. I was born in 1958 to wonderful parents, the oldest of 5 children. We had the family everyone in my hometown of Yukon, Ok was jealous of. We were even referred to in a best selling book from an author who grew up next door to us as the “most wonderful family ever that she grew up wishing she could be a member of.” Alot of Jenny’s art reminds me of my childhood days and brings back precious memories. Without a second thought, I would bring my sister, Brenda. She may truly be one of the biggest hearted people I have ever known in my life and she has been dealt such a hard hand in life. She deserves so much better. We are both raising 7 year old grandbabies and rarely get to travel or get much adult alone time. Even though we cherish our grandbabies and wouldn’t change having them, it would be so much fun to have a wonderful sister/best-friend get away to express ourselves and have a creative time together.

  327. Sue Dickhaus says:

I’d love to go so that I could get away for a break. We have a small farm and I work very hard with my sheep and goats and creating artwork. I live far from my best friend and we hardly get to see each other with our busy lives. I’d love to go to something like this for a breather, a friendship break, an art encouragement, and inspiration from other women who do what I hope to do someday…share my love of art with others.

  328. Meghan Thimjon says:

Well I do not have a blog but have been toying with the fact of getting one. Seems like everyone has one. I would most definitely take my only sister with me. We live 2500 miles apart and were just together and crafted almost the whole time we were together. It was so much fun and we bonded.

  329. Debbie says:

Oh my goodness, how I would love to win! Just to get the opportunity to be among all of the superstars of creativity would be so totally awesome! I told my brother it would be like going to the Superbowl!! The only reason I am not already registered is the expense of the flight, hotel, room, rental car & conference fees. Since I doubt that the bank will give me a second mortgage (!), I’m praying daily that a miracle will happen to enable me to go. I’m thinking positive, I did book a room, just in case! I have followed so many of the blogs for so long & drooled thru many WWC mags & would die to actually meet some of the teachers! I would have to bring my friend from childhood, Kathy , who is the most gifted person I know. We would have a blast!
BTW- who’s BD is it? Happy Birthday! Thanks for the chance! Debbie :)

  330. Debbie says:

I like you on Facebook, even though I really LOVE you! :)

  333. Rebekka says:

I would love to take my mama, she is so creative and taught me to be fearless when it comes to trying new things. It would be amazing to have a weekend together to create and laugh…away from the hustle and bustle of our homes.

  334. Lynn Corona says:

Oh, to go to this event, or let alone win it! I follow many, if not all, of these contributors and the leaders of our industry. This year I am finally being recognized in my local art community as an creative contributor, and to be able to go and visit with my “heroes” would make me even more knowledgeable and “quite a feather in my cap” if you will. I have my own blog, and designed and am administrator of two others on behalf of their owners. I would take my husband, as he helps me, load my “stuff”, helps me set up, helps me cope, helps me survive, and he makes what ever I need in storage, display, props and sweeps up after me ( in more than one way) too.

  335. Mindy says:

I saw your flyer while I was at Chaps in Spokane, WA. My mom and I are crafty and creative and LOVE blogs, etc… we would be able to drive over from SPokane… it would be the trip of our dreams! :) Fingers crossed!

I am already registered to attend the two Melody Ross classes but I would LOVE to take part in ALL the activities! 2 days of creative fulfillment! Stupendous! I would bring my friend Joanna – about 15 months ago Joanna encouraged me to start a memorial scrapbook for my dog, Magda. Through her I have discovered amazing scrap booking, creative card making, and wondrous art journaling. I now have a designated craft space in my home, a Flickr photostream of my work, and regular scrapping dates with Joanna. It has made a HUGE difference in my life joy level. Joanna and I would have a BLAST spending 2 days at the BlogHer Handmade and The Creative Connection Event and would be able to spend some quality girl time together at the hotel. Thanks for chance to win!! See you in September regardless!!

hy you want to and who you would pick to take with you and why.

  347. I’d love the chance to win the two tickets. I’d take my friend, Robyn, as we like to scrap together, and because she is so supportive of my creative endeavors. My main interest in attending is to see how people take their ideas and develop them into a business. I think I have a winning line of products, but they are mostly in my head! I’d love to connect with other women in creative fields to see where I should go next. Thanks again for the opportunity.

  348. Lisa Brians says:

I would love to attend this awesome, motivating event! I would bring my best-bud Amy- she and I are opening a new studio in September and I’m just creating a new website for my new venture into upcycling textiles, furniture and findings. I need all of the help I can get when it comes to new technology and how to make it work for me. It’s so important to have the support and friendship of such a terrific group of business-minded creatives!

  352. Joanna Meyer says:

I would love to attend the BlogHer Handmade and The Creative Connection Event because it’s always inspiring to meet others who share the same passion as me. To be in a room full of people oozing creativity and ideas that include topics like art, crafts, social networking and more would be the best experience ever.

And if I had to choose someone to bring, I would probably choose a friend I met at the first blogging conference I went to – Katie of Sweet Rose Studio. But if she already has a ticket, I would love to bring Amy of Pink Bow Bath Boutique. Can I bring both? ;)

Moved across the country last November, closing my beloved gallery space in my best friend’s coffee shop that I stocked with vintage, thrifty goodness & my own wonky work, and I have been in a creative, making abyss ever since. I need to find my sense of purpose again in making and creating, I have been untethered for too long! I’d love to take my friend Pami, an interior architect & newbie crocheter, because we have creative kismet like no others, and I don’t get enough time with her… And I know that she would also be uber-inspired by it all. Fingers crossed here!!

I had been hoping I could save up and attend next year but having the ticket and hotel paid means I just need to buy an airfare! And I’d do it! In a flash! I’d blog all about it to all my lovely readers and it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Who to take? My lovely SIL who is just as craft obsessed as I am! What an amazing opportunity and thank you!

  394. Gina in the SF Bay Area says:

I would love to win a pass to the Creative Connective event because it sounds so luxuriously decadent to spend a weekend around a group of incredibly talented and creative women. Throughout history, women have used their creativity to feed their families and keep them clothed and safe to making great works of art, music, and craft. Of course I’d enjoy connecting and creating with other women who share similar passions and talents. I would probably invite my sweet friend Lillian who can make anything beautiful.

  400. I dream of going to TCC….to submerse myself in an ocean of creativity, with like minds, and kindred spirits. And, there is no other kindred spirit I would rather take than my mom. We see the world similarly….as an endless source of creative inspiration….a pile of potential….that just needs a few rhinestones to make it sparkle. :)

  401. It would be absolutely amazing to attend this event! I’ve been searching and searching to find out who I am and have finally found out that I am blessed with creativity. This would be such a kick start to my creative business. I would take my dear friends Wendy; she is a very talented and inspirational woman. This event would be a dream come true. :)

  402. Donna Hollingsworth says:

I would looovvvee to attend this conference with my best friend Grace. I need to jump start my creative side and my friend Grace needs to attend because she has had a bad year. She has lost family members, suffered with a business during this bad economy, and has welcomed 4 members of her husbands family into her home indefinitely. She has a huge heart and definitely deserves a “break” to connect with her creative side.

  403. Tifaine says:

Since I am still considered a “newbie” in the blogging world, this would be the perfect opportunity for me and my “newbie” blogging girlfriends to GETAWAY! I could really use this in two ways. First, as a huge endeavor for myself to have some ME TIME. Second, as a Mind Fueling experience to learn more about the things I really enjoy. I have put much thought into who I would take. It would have to be a newly found friend {Pam}, found via the blog world. This would be such a wonderful experience to have with her. What a thrill it would be to WIN!

  404. Tifaine says:

    I tweeted about it a @ThroughMyLense_

  405. Creating has always been a part of my life and running my own business, creating for others has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. I have for what seems a lifetime been trying to get things up and going, but life always seems to get in the way preventing me from going full steam. Thank goodness my passion, perseverance, along with the support of my family and friends always seems to win out. Attending the Creative Connection could help me learn valuable information that could help grow my business, channel my energies in the right direction and along with the fact that it would be just cool as heck! I would definitely bring my mom. Even though both her and my oldest daughter have always been such a strong support system and source of strength for me, my mom and I recently have been dealing with a situation that has been life changing in many ways and feel that this would be a good and inspiring experience. And well, we both love to create!

  406. I would love to win free passes to this event. Last year was the first time I had ever heard about it, and just knew that some day I need to attend. I would choose one of my daughters as my companion since I know we would have the best time ever attending this together. Thank you so much for offering this giveaway :)

I was just telling my husband that I wish there was SOME way I could make it – and then this opportunity. So many great presenters that I am already familiar with through blogs, twitter, etc. How inspiring to actually meet them. I would want to bring my daughter so I can instill in her the desire to create as my mother did for me. That and I want her to see that there are other “crazy, creative” people just like me!

  422. Vicki says:

I am going to have to make a change in my work and I’m going to have to do it soon. I refuse to go on another job interview for as long as I live — it was torture in my 40s, I can’t imagine what hell it would be in my 50s — so I need to create something for myself. I have had an idea percolating for (I just realized) 4 years and I think it’s time. I am scared to death and feel like throwing up half the time, but the other half I feel like dancing and singing (while jumping out of my skin). It’s pretty incredible. I believe that attending this event would motivate and energize me… so that perhaps I’ll soon be singing from the rooftop. I would bring my daughter with me — wildly creative, funny, inspiring, and my biggest cheerleader. Thank you.

  423. Jamie Stephens says:

  425. Winning these tickets and having the opportunity to surround myself and my friend Cindy Jackson with so many creative people will just be ouststanding. I can feel the butterflies in my stomach now of all the creative ideas that will be going on in my head. Oh the chance to learn from them and get out of my little studio at home. I don’t get to get out much because I am always producing (good thing) but I would just love to see what the other people in the world are doing. I have always wanted to take classes but never have the time!! Oh it would be joyous!

  426. Amanda says:

I would love to win tickets to the conference because I am just starting my handmade business and I would love to learn some tips from the pros! I would bring one of my friends that is also trying to start a handmade business!

We are both busy with children and this would be a great opportunity to meet up and do what we love. We both have Etsy shops, love to create using all forms of media.

I would love to attend! I worked as a graphic designer for years and have been a stay at home mom to my 4 year old since he was born. I’ve been slowly working on a new business for designing invitations and printables for parties but have a long way to go before it is up and running. It would be wonderful to learn from all the great speakers and presentations. I’d bring my mom cause she loves crafts, is very supportive of me and could really use a vacation away from some stress she has been dealing with.

  434. I posted a comment on Facebook! I hope I did all this correctly!

  435. Chris says:

I have the ideas, just don’t know how to make them profitable. Who would I bring? My friend Joelle who is very talented, but also doesn’t know how to translate ideas into profit.

  436. Judy Cook says:

I would LOVE to attend the Creative Connection Event–for education, inspiration, and FUN. My daughter and I are working on several creative endeavors and I love, love, love seeing what others are doing–and sharing what we are doing too!

  438. all those creative people in one place, I would really like to be there! I love how creativity flows when you are around like minded people. I would bring my mom, she is wonderfully creative and I know how much she would enjoy the experience, what a fun trip it would be to travel with my mom. I love her so much and often think how nice it would be to get away with her :)

  439. Wonderful event. I like it.

  440. I would love to come take classes from the extraordinarily creative lizzy house. I’d love to bring my girl. She’ be blown away by being around so many people that we read every day…what an inspiration to meet so many successful & creative women! Thank you for sharing the dream!

  441. I would love to attend – I just went to the market last year because I heard about it at the last minute. I would love to attend and hear all the fabulous speakers. I would take my sister Kathy – she would fly in from Florida – we love all the same blogs and enjoy creating – we are each others creative soundboards – we bounce all of our creative ideas off each other. I was thrilled to tell her that I met Tina Givens and Ree Drummond and we would be gitty if we could meet Amy Butler!
Thanks for hosting this fabulous event!

  442. I want to attend for the AMAZING classes, the chance to pitch my craft book idea, and meet other amazing women.
I would bring my mother. She blazed my creative path. She will be getting over lung surgery – a 2nd bout of cancer. I know this would lift her spirits.

  443. Michele says:

I am one-month new to blogging and would love a chance to attend. My platform is quite unique – I blog about the beauty of the public library and what it means to our family (I do not work for the library) – trust me, I have been all over blogland and haven’t seen what I am doing. I would love to learn as much as I can to increase my readership which in turn would help me and the library. I would (naturally) bring a librarian friend with me! Please pick me! And thank you for this opportunity. xoxo michele

  444. I’ve liked you for awhile on Facebook!

  445. YAY! Happy Birthday! How generous of you to share such an awesome gift with us! I would LOVE to attend The Creative Connection and BlogHer Handmade. I have heard so many wonderful things about this conference from Kami and Laurie. They got me so excited about it at EVO. I would love to be in the hands-on workshops and learn from THE best! What an amazing experience this conference would be. It would be so fun to meet all the amazing women I look up to and admire. If I win (crossing my fingers, toes and eyes) I would bring my friend Linda. We entered a contest together a few months ago and worked so hard on it.. however we didn’t win. It would be so fun to actually win and go together!! She is one of my dearest blogging friends and someone I truly look up to. Thanks for the opportunity! Hugs!

  446. I tweeted about the event =)

  447. Hey all, I’d love to be at this conference and connect with these creative people! I’d bring my dear friend from nearby Sioux Falls, pick me!

I’ve never been to a blog conference and would love to learn more! I think I would bring my sister.

  451. Mel Sutter says:

I would love to attend the convention because I am a crafter/sewer at heart and do it as much as I can . It soothes me, gives me a sense of peace, and makes all that is wrong…right. My 7yo daughter is the same way. I am constantly reading and looking at other blogs to get ideas on starting our own business with the crafts/sewing and including blogging. The convention would be a priceless wealth of info for me. If I won, I would bring my mom. She is also a crafter at heart but never really did much with her creativity. She is from a small town, typical hispanic upbringing, lives in a very small world if you know what I mean, and would be totally in awe of everything that the convention would have to offer. The only place she’s been outside of her TX home is good ol’ Branson, MO. :) I would love to get her out somewhere different, new, and just show her what’s out there. She would be beside herself.

  452. Mimi Crosby says:

Oh what a wonderful chance to reunite with an old friend of 45 years! We lost touch with each other and have just found and rekindled our friendship, even though it was like we had never been apart. I love crafting and painting. She love crafting and antiques! What a fun time it would be for us both~

  453. I would love to attend BlogHer Handmade and The Creative Connection Event for the opportunity to interact with so much creative energy & passion, to learn from the best & to make connections with amazing women that will last a lifetime! The toughest part of this entire entry is to pick who to take with me because so many fabulous women have helped inspire me & have been so loving! I would pick Aimee of Aimee Broussard Events because she was my fearless & fun roomate in NYC at the first conference I ever attended and I will forever think of her like a sister!

  454. I like The Creative Connection on fb!!!

And for myself! I’d just love being inspired by so many artists and have the opportunity to play and create with them and to learn from them. 475. Vicki Kubiak says:

Three days of crafting, free stuff, hotel…who wouldn’t want to win!

I would take my friend Ann as she encouraged me early on in my efforts and continues to be a supporter! OMGosh! This sounds so fabulous! I would love to attend this because I am really starting to focus on my blog and trying to figure out what my goal is for it. Learning how to earn money from it would be awesome. As far as who I would take…..there are so many talented women in the blog world that I have never met, but look up to so much for what they have taught me thus far. I would definitely pick one of those ladies as a big thank you! Thanks so much for this opportunity. I’m tweeting and “liking” on facebook too!

  491. Linda says:

I think this event is an amazing opportunity for anyone who is creative. I am inspired by Stacy Julian and would love to meet her, If I win, I would bring my friend Suzanne, who hasn’t been on a vacation in 10 years! And she is such a creative, amazing woman! Thanks for the chance! Linda

  492. What a wonderful opportunity, a chance to find my next path. The fork in my road has about six tines and I am having difficulty choosing which one(s) to follow. This next stage in my life has lots of potential but I need a help with my goals and choices in what forms my art should take. And it looks like so much FUN. My friend, whould come with me, is a talented writer also looking to broaden her perspective…and write just for the fun of it.

  508. sara says:

oh, I’d love to win this! First, I’d take my mama because my dad left her recently after 35 years of marriage and I think that a little girl time plus some creativity would do her some good! The reason I want to go? After 36 years, I’m finally finding my artistic voice… and I’d love the opportunity to strengthen it. Plus, it would be a fun getaway from the daily grind of 2 little boys (4 & 5 – yikes) and an adult child husband (I mean that in the most loving way!). Plus, I’m DYING over Melody Ross’ little brave book class – I think I might very well NEED that. Please?

  509. Pam Cook says:

I would absolutely love to attend. This event seems almost too good to be true. My creative-idols all in one place! Seriously? It has to be the mecca for any creative woman! I would bring my dear daughter-in-law. She’s the best present my son ever gave to me (and now she’s given me my most-adorable grandson!). Yes, I would love to bring her so we could spend the whole time together! Thanks for the opportunity!

  510. As a brand new business owner, I would so love to attend this conference! If I won, I’d bring my friend/fellow business owner/head cheerleader/super talented super mom Kristen (3littlebirdsboutique.com)!!!

  511. When I was 9 years old I wrote a fairy story called “Jovan and the Ant” and sent it off for publication. The only publisher’s address I could find was in the front of a set of encyclopedias, but I was determined to let my words be heard. The editor kindly returned my story and told me that her company didn’t publish short stories. Since then my burning ambition has been to be a published author. Blogging is a wonderful outlet for my creative urges, but I feel a bit lost when it comes to realizing my dreams. I feel certain that the workshops, seminars, and the sheer volume of creative energy that fuels The Creative Connection Event would help me find the focus and clarity that I need! I would love to bring along my high school sweetheart and husband of 29 years. Our anniversary is in September, and this event would be the perfect way to celebrate! My husband is my biggest fan and supporter, and very creative in his own right! He is an amazing chef, and loves to work with stained glass and soldered jewelry. I can’t imagine a better gift for either of us than a weekend at TCC. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  512. Stephanie says:

I would like to go to the BlogHer Handmade and The Creative Connection Event to learn more about blogging than I have learned on my own. I think it will help me understand so much more! Plus, I need to feel as if I am contributing more to our income, somehow and I think advertisements through my blog might help; and maybe I can one day sell products on my site. I would take my friend Michelle because she is trying to do her own business on etsy and she has started a blog for her site as well. I just really want to learn more and it’s really hard when your starting from scratch. This would help out so very much for both of us.

  513. Anna Claxton says:

Wow the conference sounds like a great event! I am searching for the boost to start my own creative jewelry business. An event like this would be the perfect inspiration to get me going. My best friend Karrie is also being a business founded on her creativity. I would bring her along because she got me started (aka addicted to) beading. Thanks for a great opportunity.

  514. Jen N. says:

I would love to win an go because who wouldn’t want to learn from the best and the brightest (not to mention most creative!)? I’m not sure who I’d take, but I’m not beyond accepting bribes. ;)

  521. Lauren says:

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to attend this conference! I have heard so many great things and would love the opportunity to attend and grow my blog. I started blogging a few months ago and there is sooo much I don’t know! I would love to bring my friend Alex who recently started her own blog and helps her husband run his own business. This would benefit us both sooo much! Thanks for the opportunity.

  522. becky says:

I need some guidance in helping me to get my business off to a good start. I really want to be able to make working from home successful. Putting my kids in daycare just isn’t for me. This sounds like it could help! I would love to attend but there is no way financially I could do this so I need to win! I have a friend that has just started her own business that I would bring a long. fingers crossed!

  525. Coley says:

This is would be such an amazing experience!
One of my favorite part of life is learning from others- their experiences, struggles, lessons, etc. I would love to learn more about how to market my creative nature, not only for my blog but for personal satisfaction and the ability to assist others.
I would bring one of my best friends, one of the only other people that I can share ‘my creative’ side with :)

    Thank you for the opportunity!

  527. I would love to attend this conference! I would bring my friend Angela who is a fellow Navy wife and sells her handmade stuff on etsy. I don’t sell anything but want to have a better handle on running a creative business so I can eventually sell things.

  528. I would love to attend Creative Connections. So many ideas and so many classes to choose from.
I wanted to attend but our A/C went on the blink and right now in Kansas, and I had to choose the
A/C. Family would have killed me if I had chosen Creative Connections!!
I have 2 friends I would like to bring and I would choose just one…Suzanne, because she has
never been to an art class.
    Keeping my fingers crossed.

I would love to learn more about social media and gleen ideas from other creative minds! I would take my friend Michelle who is the most OUT OF THE BOX creative artist I know!! We would just LOVE to attend and see what this is all about!

  531. Cat Geiger says:

What a wonderful thing for you all to do!! I would love to attend this conference…have always wanted to and something always gets in the way…lol. It’s hard to keep in touch with my creative side at times, being a wife, mom and just everyday life sometimes gets in the way! I would bring one of my girlfriends who feels the same way!!

  532. Veronica Munoz says:

I would love to attend the event and meet some of the aspiring bloggers that I follow. I, too, have been searching for the right balance of family, day job, and crafting. I would take my cousin’s wife, as she and I have often fantasized about quitting our day jobs and starting a party planning business. I hope I win!!

  533. Lisa Muck says:

I would love to go and be surrounded by other women who are inspired to create as am I. I have never attended anything like this and I think it would be a great way to meet new people! I would ask my best friend Julie to come with me. She is my scrapping buddy! Love the concept of blogging. Great way to express your feelings. Also tweeted!

  534. Ashley says:

I love all things creative. Same old story though- mommy to 3 with little time left to satisfy my desire to “create.” I would bring my sister for sure, because she’s one of my besties and shares my love for creative endeavors. We’ve started a blog together to document our projects, and need a jump start to get going. Thanks for the chance!!! :)

  535. Alyssa says:

What a great opperotunity! I am so excited to hear about this event, much less a chance to win to go! The hardest part would be picking who gets to come with me!!!! Thanks!!

  536. LeeW says:

I want to attend BHH and TCC for the opportunity to learn from awesome, talented women, and to expand my creative enterprises. I would ask my sister, who lives on the east coast, to join me as she is the most creative person I know and love. Thank you!

  537. Kelly Thoms says:

I would love to go and see all the beautiful things and learn a little more about all my favorite crafts. I would bring my friend Libby and enjoy the girls weekend away we have been dreaming of.

  539. Mary Hawley says:

I retired a couple of years ago after my husband passed. I have been in the printing business for 30 years and am ready to get back to my creative roots. Want to see the latest trends, tips and definitely want to be steered in the right direction to actually put my talents and passions in the right direction and start a business. Would bring my daughter as she is also a do-it -yourself person and really has a knack for creating.

  540. I am so excited about the possiblility of attending an event like The Creative Connection. I launched my blog just a month ago and am completely addicted to the whole world of bloggers and I need to learn so much more. This conference would be exactly what I need. I would bring my mentor and friend, Kustom Kissers so we can take over the world!!

  541. Barb Leffeler says:

I need something to get me to scrapbook again. After I attended the CKC in April I scrapped for a couple of months. I think this will help me get going again. I would bring Barb H. We had lots of fun at CKC.

  542. Jen says:

I would love to address this conference to meet all the creative ladies I love to read! I would take my sister Erin (blogger http://www.SuttonGrace.blogspot.com) because she is the craftiest person I know and could use a break from her 4 kids! :)

  543. OMG, the killer lineup of speakers and workshops, who wouldn’t want to come to this event!!! So many fantastic workshops to choose from, a seriously fantastic learning opportunity! I would bring my friend Janelle, a budding knitwear designer, a great step for both of us to work on our creative businesses together – a crafty sisterhood!

  544. Jessica says:

This event looks amazing! I just recently started a blog and I’m seeing the power of making your blog a business or using it to promote your own creative business. My husband and I are working on growing our knowledge in photography – just got our first dSLR, we love to cook, and have a ton of other ideas that could be turned into creative businesses if we put our mind to it. I would also love the opportunity to learn how to maximize social media and other marketing tools to grow your business. Thanks for the opportunity!

  545. Claudia says:

I’d love to connect with other creative bloggers – this event would be such a wonderful opportunity to network and make new friends, as well as learn so much. I’d take one of my blogging friends with me. Thanks so much for this opportunity.

  546. Marilyn S. says:

Why do I want to attend? Well, I want to learn, to explore, to be inspired, and to meet cool creative people. Who to take is easy: my big sister, Janice. Many, many years ago, she taught me how to crochet on a long car trip to visit our grandmother. That launched my obsession with all things handmade. Today, she and I are both persuing the handmade lifestyle. Jan makes handmade, one-of-a-kind cards and I own a very new letterpress business. And, this year we both had very, very big birthdays as we are ten years apart in age – she is a baby boomer and I am a gen xer. What a blast it would be to surprise her with this trip!

  547. I would absolutely love to attend this event! I have been wanting to attend a creative conference for a while and this would be the perfect opportunity to learn and be inspired by creative women. I would bring my girlfriend Brittany. She’s a creative person and is just getting into blogging so it would be great for her, too!

  548. Becky S. says:

I would love to attend the BlogHer Handmade and The Creative Connection Events because I am in awwww each time I open one of your magazines. I am filled with the artistic magic of all of the artists in this beautiful world. I would choose to bring my oldest daughter Amy along with me. She has had a very tramatic past few years with prescription drug addiction and has been incapacitated for several months earlier this year and learned through art classes held inside the jail, that art can heal the mind, which heals the body and soul. She is doing wonderfully now and is working toward a brand new life without drugs.

  549. Amanda says:

Why would I want to go? Why wouldn’t you! I missed BlogHer Food when it was in Chicago near my home, and the other ones I just can’t afford to fly and pay hotel etc. So winning this would actually be even better since I think I would enjoy the creative conference even better. And I would actually take my husband, he IS my best friend, and has been for 30 years :)

  550. Amanda says:

I liked you on Facebook, the link didn’t work by the way, had to take the “.com” off then it did ;)

  551. Lauren says:

    I liked your Facebook page!

  552. Angela Hall says:

  553. Jeannie says:

I would love to attend this amazing event in my home town!! I am always looking for inspiration to be creative and this even would the cream of the crop!! I would bring one of my creative scrapbooking friends!!

  554. I would be thrilled to attend this event because I need to hear from other women who are busy balancing their lives but still finding time to create beautiful things, full of thought and inspiration. As a mom to 3 little girls and a full-time English teacher, I have so much on my plate; however, I cannot get away from using my talents to make special things for my home and for others. New to the blogging world, I am excited to be able to share my experiences with others and hopefully encourage others to take advantage of their time and make their surroundings lovely! Thank you :)

  555. cindy davis says:

my daughter and I would so enjoy a trip like this. would also love to see Christina Ferrare!! how does she manage to get even more beautiful with age.

  556. Colleen says:

Oh I would love this..I am in my 60′s {YikeS!} and would love the chance to share in all that creative energy with all the “kiddos” ..What an amazing experience for this “senior” and who would I take? My very talented and artistic 79 year old Mother-in-Law. She’s a hoot and would entertain all with her stories of being in the family-owned traveling-through-the-mid-west Circus in the 40′s!! Plus, she may have a thing or two to teach us all about art, life and love of creativity!

  557. Esther says:

I want to attend this event because of the great presenters and the location! And I’d bring my mom – she would be so into this!

This would be so much fun, I am not sure who I would bring with me, maybe it would be fun to see if my long time friend that lives a state away from me now would want to come, I know she would love this as much as I do, we are both artists, and love everything creative.

  562. Erin in Stamford, CT says:

I would LOVE to attend BlogHer Handmade and The Creative Connection Event to be inspired!!!!!!!!! …to be around others who “get it”! …to have fun! I’d like to bring my friend Marilyn B. because I KNOW we’d have a blast together. We’d be inspired together. We’d learn together and we’d come home and put the ideas and inspirations to good use!!!!

  563. Catherine says:

I would *love* to attend this event for motivation, inspiration, and the sense of community. I daydream about it…would love to live it!

I’d take my friend Jen. We just reunited after 10 years and have embraced our creative bugs together. I think this event would bring us even closer…plus what momma doesn’t need a good road trip?! :)

    Thanks for the chance!

  568. Jannifer W. says:

This would be such a great opportunity to go to this event and learn from such creative individuals. I would bring my sister, who is one of the most creative people I know!

  569. I have been a passionate crafter for my whole life(and that’s a long time). I have built my life around my passion and I believe in passing this down passion to others. Attending this conference would allow me to share the joy of crafting and passion I have with other liked minded women. I would bring my friend Michelle because we can’t stop talking about our latest projects, or what class were taking. I know we would have a blast, an experience we would never forget!

  570. I liked you on Facebook!

  571. Cathy Wegner says:

My friend and I use to take classes, go on creative road trips and just have fun but with our business taking a hit from the economy and my friend caring for her elderly Mom, we are in need of some creative inspiration and a break.

  572. LIsa Andrews says:

This would be amazing! I’d bring my sister who is so busy with her 5 kids that she doesn’t get a lot of creative playtime for herself. Plus we live on opposite sides of the country, so we only see each other once a year. It would be so fun to be together at this event!

  573. Shannon C. says:

I have been wanting to attend this event but it wasn’t in the budget. I am a graphic designer and need some new inspiration . I would probably bring my friend who is very crafty and creative but we don’t get to spend so much time doing the things we love since we had kids. Thanks for the chance!

  574. Sarah says:

I would LOVE to experience this amazing event, would bring my good friend who’s even more creative than I am.

  575. Amy Rosenholm says:

I would love to attend BlogHer Handmade and The Creative Connection Event because it is in my home state of MN and IT IS SUMMER! So much nicer then -20 degrees! I would bring my husband who is my faithful companion to all things crafty & my favorite person to spend time at a hotel with!

  576. Nicole H. says:

I love to create – in almost all mediums – but find that my children consume life and all I create are meals and clean laundry. (not so inspiring!) I would pick my great friend Rachel who is a creative genius, who now lives far away and I never get to craft with and who also has lots of little ones consuming her days and nights! If we won our husbands couldn’t say no!!!

  577. Lisa Andrews says:

    I *liked* you on FB!

I would love to go to this event! I have been wanting to go to quite a few of these types, but the money and timing seem to be off. I’d love to learn, connect and be inspired! I’d take one of my girlfriends who is equally creative..so what a fun girls weekend on top of all that!:)

    Thanks.

  581. Amy Bauer says:

I oohed and aahed over the myriad of post-event-postings on the blogs of gals who attended last year. There was a universal “loved it” approval rating from every blog I visited. It’s pretty wonderful to attend “vicariously” through the experiences of others, but it would be exponentially more fabulous to attend! I can’t swing it on my own this year but hope, hope, hope to make it sometime as I intend to jump into the blogging and commercial crafting game. Should the universie shine upon me and make me the lucky winner, I would take my dearest friend Margaret who lives an artful life and whose senses are primed to the beauty about her! – Amy Bauer

  582. You know, at first I didn’t want to come. I’m not in this for the money, literally. However, as I’m building my church’s online presence, attending the BlogHer sessions on Thursday sounds like a really good idea — plus I’d then get the bonus of playing with art too!

As for who I would take with me…. hmm, I’d love to take my Mum (who still lives in Australia), but I guess that’s not realistic (although maybe it would get her back out here). She reads tons of blogs and is creative but doesn’t actually blog herself.

  583. and I tweeted @leanneshawler

  584. linda allen says:

I would love to go, I love any and everyting handmade, recyled, original. I would like to take my husband, because he knew nothing of crafting, artists, etc. The first time I took him to a quilt show, He remarked, he could not believe that the items were made by a person. He was in total awe !!!!

  585. Teri S. says:

I have been dreaming of starting my own blog for a while now. This would be a great way to learn and get a jumpstart on making this dream a reality. I would love to surprise my good friend Courtney with tickets to this event. She just started a new blog after battling cancer for the third time. It’s been a year now and she seems to be doing well. Just feel it would be a great surprise and a wonderful treat for her.
    Thanks for the wonderful opportunity!

  586. Heather says:

I would LOVE to win this. I could definitely use a class on helping promote my blog as well as everything creative.

Thanks for the chance to win! :)

  587. sara says:

I was trying to think of a way to get my finances to stretch so I could attend! I would love to go. Nothing makes me happier than hanging out with other creative ladies. Who would I take? That is so hard. Maybe my mom, cause she is the best. Or my friend Ally, my partner in crime (and MOPS co-coordinator!)

  588. Deborah Todd says:

I want to attend BlogHer Handmade and The Creative Connection Event because I think it would be the ultimate first
event for me and I would hold my own contest on my website to give another creative soul a chance to attend this awesome event too!

  589. Deborah Todd says:

    I “liked” your Facebook page.

  590. been a follower for quite a while!

  591. Tonya Simonton says:

This would be so AWESOME! My good friend and I have recently opened a craft shop and would love the opportunity to learn so much about what can be done and how.

  592. Aubree says:

I love crafting and have never been to anything like this before. I want to take my mommy cause she’s my best friend and she’s the most creative person I know and would love to go.

  593. Dedra Lamb says:

I’m a mother to 3 beautiful children under the age of 3 1/2. For the past 3 years I have bookmarked, printed, and “favorited” so many websites and ideas. I LIVE for my family… But would love the opportunity to BE ME for a couple of days and attend this amazing workshop to create, design and be inspired. If I was chosen to attend I would post a message on my Facebook account asking who would like to go and would be able to attend. I would take a friend that I’ve not seen since high school or college or maybe even one that just desperately needs to channel their creative drive again! What a great opportunity!! I hope to see you soon! Happy birthday!!!

  594. I’d love the chance to attend the conference…it’s truly one of those only in my dreams events.
I’d bring along a girlfriend i’ve only know a couple of years, but we connected on that artsy, mental level that doesn’t happen often. She’s had so many health problems from a horrific car accident and she hasn’t been able to do much, but working on her art keeps her going. She also hasn’t traveled anywhere for so long, i feel bad when i even say i’m going out of town! It would be the ultimate gift to give this sweet woman who has touched so many others with her blog and art.

  596. Kim says:

    Fan of TCC on facebook!

  597. I would love to attend. Crafting, styling, designing and photography are my passions and the thought of being with so many like-minded women makes me giddy! The only reason I’ve not purchased a ticket already is because my fall schedule is super hectic with some exciting media events. That said, if I were to win I would take it as a sign that I am meant to be there! As for who I would bring, it would be my mom. She encouraged me to start my own company three years ago and has finally opened her own Etsy shop as of a few months ago. It would be great fun to share this community with her and I think it would give her that boost of confidence that young business owners need. You can find me at http://blog.thecelebrationshoppe.com/

  598. Amy says:

I would love being surrounded by talented and experienced women. Right now I am laying the groundwork for my future creative career, and I’d like it to be a firm and solid foundation- what better place to get that than from TCC? I would love to bring my blog friend Gwen. She lives across the country so we haven’t met in real life yet- this would be perfect!
    xoxo,
    Amy

  599. Erin says:

I would LOVE to go because I love sewing, jewelry, crafting, and blogging. It would be fabulous to be able to attend an event where 1) it is a place that women with similar passions can come together, 2) I can glean and learn from people who have valuable wisdom and insight, and 3) make more friends within the handmade community! I would love to meet the people who have SO inspired me along this journey and thank them, become friends with them, and have fun with them!! :) I would bring my sister, Amy. She is a freelance photographer who is amazing and talented. She makes amazing things, takes jaw-dropping photos, and I would love to bless her with this opportunity :)

  605. Jody Gimlin says:

I’ve been blogging for nearly three years and have enjoyed being creative for as long as I can remember. I would love to attend Creative Connection to learn more and inspire myself to take the next step: my own creative business. If I win I would take my sister Jaimee who is currently starting her own furniture restoration business. I know she would love it. Oh, and did I mention that we originally hail from MN? :)

  606. Jody Gimlin says:

  607. Debra says:

I would love to attend with my daughter ! Conventions are always so inspirational and motivational.

  608. Jessa says:

Oooh! I want to go so badly, the classes look amazing and I’m in desperate need for inspiration lately. If I win I would surprise a fellow blogger/friend Katie. Shhh..don’t tell her!

  609. Marni Oberpriller says:

As an Elementary Art Teacher (EAT), my job is to motivate and inspire 800 young minds year-round for the last 12 years. In the process, I’ve come to lose touch with my own personal creative mojo; my motivation and enthusiasm has been been “flooring it in neutral!”
My home studio is chaos, FILLED with potential that has just been sitting on shelves and in bins waiting to be done. Walking in, and not knowing where to begin…
I’ve held dear the Chinese proverb:
    Tell me and I forget.
    Show me and I remember.
Involve me and I understand… I”d love and take to heart the opportunity to be involved in the CC, to network withothers outside of the static magazines I have purchased, to find and sustain a creative direction for ME.
I’d have to bring along my friend and coworker, Science Specialist, Vanessa. We often connect after-school chatting it up about what we’d like to be creating.

  612. I would love to attend TCC! The past couple of years have been rather trying and I am finally breaking out of the valley and scaling some peaks! I started a business to help women in business succeed. I think if I were able to attend TCC I would meet a lot of amazing and inspiring women and learn from their successes. I also have tons of online friends from the past several years and would absolutely love to meet them!
I would bring my BFF from high school who also just started a business recently after being home for the past 18 years. It would be a dream trip for both of us!

  613. I would love to go to Creative Connection! I have only been to a couple of blog conferences and love meeting new blog friends & this would be a wonderful conference to attend. I have been blogging 4 and 1/2 yrs. & it has changed my life so much, all the friendships and community we have is so great. This year, I have the pleasure of going to BlogHer 11 and can’t wait for that either. I’d love to win this one too! I’d take my friend, Debbie, with me. She is a new blogger & would love it.

  614. I liked you on Facebook too! Would LOVE to win!!

  615. Andee says:

Speaking of birthdays… this is the weekend following my best friend’s birthday (9/12). We don’t get to celebrate together anymore since she moved to Boise from Tucson. This would be the best gift ever for her! She is an amazing and hard-working mother, wife and soon-to-be preschool teacher. A break like this is well-deserved and extremely overdue. And, although I would LOVE to be there with her, she is going to have to choose another companion as I will actually be in Michigan at my cousin’s wedding. Either way, Tanna would love it!

  616. Michele Ward says:

I want to learn how the craft blogging world works and what I can offer to the world. I want to take my daughter with me, she is my best friend and I taught her how to sew and quilt. I think this would be an amazing experience to share with her.

After twenty-five years as an academic, I am ready to soar in retirement. I would love to learn how to take my creative passion for scrapbooking into the blogging world. Nothing would be finer than to leave Carolina and come to the Creative Connection with my dear friend Karen. As she lives in Iowa, we don’t get to see each other nearly as much as we would like.

  619. Karie says:

Right now me and my friend Debbie are trying to start a trash to treasure and refurbishing furniture business. We have oh so much to learn about on line. I think it would be great to go to this conference to help us in laying the groundwork for our future. I’d like it to be a firm and solid foundationand it sounds like we could learn alot being surrounded by talented and experienced women at TCC. I would take my friend and business partner Debbie.

As a stay at home mom, I love the time I spend with my family but I have found that I also have to find time to be creative. My creativity is therapy for me, it always has been. I would love the opportunity to be able to get away with a friend, who shares my love for creating, to this fantastically creative event! As a former accountant/CPA, I do not want to return to my former career. I now realize I am an artist, not an accountant! My dream is to learn as much as I can to make a career using my creativity. Since my kids are growing up, I want to start my second career. I have two fantastic creative friends but I think my friend Staci would benefit so much more since she and I have shared craft booths for over 4 years. We love the time we spend at the craft shows and are always happy to share everything we learn.

I would love to attend the Creative Connection Conference because it would be the perfect venue to help my mom jumpstart her quilting/fabric shop business. She has been so selfless in fostering 6 children for the past 16 months and putting her dreams on “hold” while doing so, that I would love to surprise her with this outing. I live in KY now but I grew up in MN and my mom still lives there so this would be PERFECT:) Thanks for the chance to win!

Who would I bring? My lovely daughter, who is also an aspiring artistic talent and has just had her 2nd baby and NEEDS a uplifting, inspirational and knowledgeable escape to get back on track with her work! AMAZING and AWESOME are the words for such a great contest and I thank you for the opportunity to win!

And I would love to bring my sister with me as she has just retired from teaching this year and she is extremely creative — so I believe that this will inspire her to pursue her creative dreams! I know that she has so much to give back to the community and will encourage others to create, too! Thank you for the giveaway opportunity! What a gift!
