A Different kind of Diamond

Entrelac

Maybe you’re up for the challenge and ready to try this style of knitting?  Even if you’re not, it’s not everyday you can take a class from Rosemary Drysdale, knitting editor for VOGUEknitting.  We’ll be offering this VOGUEknitting sponsored class on Entrelac knitting, a knitting technique that creates a diamond pattern.  As a non-knitter, this looks very challenging.  I can’t imagine being able to create something like this with my own two hands.  You do need to already know how to knit, purl, pick up stitches and increase and decrease. Do you think it’s possible for me to learn all that before September so I can take her class?  I think I’ll do her and the students a favor and just peek in to see the magic happen.

  1. I came across your site via WWC. I have added your site to my Google Reader and entered the contest for Amy Barickman’s book and fabric.

  3. I have been trying to find a way to go since I heard about it last year. Got excited when I saw your contest but your website isn’t working and won’t accept my comments on that post. Strange as I can comment on all of your others. Hmm…

I would love to go and learn new things. My mind is always starving to learn and do new things. My birthday is September 11 and everyone is always bummed out on that day remembering 9/11, I feel bad wanting to celebrate.
    Please pick me!

I would love to come for learning and inspiration, and to listen to some of my favorite bloggers who will be presenting. I would bring one of my really good friends who needs a getaway.

  6. I also think it is a big challenge for me to be ready to try this style of knitting, It looks so difficult!
