Holly Baublitz and Becky Ellis are two working moms from Spokane, Washington who formed a friendship and realized they had much in common. They revel in the freedom of eclectic art. They get a rush from dumpster diving to rummaging through vintage finds. Together they have formed “All That Glitter” a shop that opens once a week to sell their finds and creations. They also participate in some of the area’s vintage shows. They love to bounce ideas off each other, allowing them to feed their creativity. For lack of a better word they say, “We are letting out our squirrels!” But most of all, they have fun.

Diane Dettmann is an author, presenter and teacher. She has published articles in educational publications, national journals related to Finnish studies and presented at conferences in the United States, Canada and Finland. She enjoys the creative process of writing and is promoting Miriam Daughter of Finnish Immigrants a book she coauthored with her aunt, Miriam Dloniak. Diane is currently working on a memoir about her journey as a widow. As a writer she enjoys inspiring others to follow their creative spirit.

Maija’s Mittens, created by designer and seamstress Mary Elleson Jones, are meticulously designed and perfectly matched. Mary also creates unique handmade jewelry from pages of magazines. Mary believes in using the earth’s finite resources wisely. Each pair of mittens is imbued with the spirit of her Finnish ancestors and their steadfast love of the land. Heather Ales is a creative artist and designer who resides in Roanoke, Texas with her supportive husband and toddling son. She was fortunate enough to be part of a military family who spent the majority of her life in Europe. As such, she developed a love for different cultures and styles at an early age. She has been involved in the crafting and hobby industry for over 15 years and was spotlighted on HGTV’s That’s Clever.
