Christine is a confirmed dabbler, and is now working under the title “at home expert” After 10 years of retail merchandising and owning a vintage shop, Christine left the world of retail to focus on design. She has since worked with many home and shop owners, and as a designer for HGTV. Her own homes have been featured in ‘Country Living’ magazine and on the DIY network show ‘Sweat Equity’. Currently, she is pursuing her love of pie baking and sharing her homemaking tips on her blog Pies and Aprons. David Evertson has been involved at many levels in the arts world from organization to performance. A graduate of The Berklee College of Music in Boston, he’s worked as a professional touring/ recording musician, and has exhibited his artwork in contemporary art shows. Combining an appreciation for the arts and an eye for detail, helping to coordinate The Creative Connection is putting his skills and initiative to good use in a new and varied enterprise signaling a new phase in his career. The mother-daughter design team of Debbie Murray and Shea Fragoso has been collaborating in creative ways for as long as both can remember. Team Event Coordinator Larry Bilotti is former Executive Editor of Country Living Magazine and one of the original editors to launch the Hearst Magazine website–HomeArts; where he conceived, produced and launched the Country Living Magazine site before becoming Editorial Web Director for several Hearst titles. In addition to his role as print and web editor, he worked on a variety of Country Living branding initiatives including books, quilts, paint and furniture. Event Coordinator Sandra Evertson is a professional daydreamer, writist, and arter. Her curiosity about the world leads her to an adventurous and somewhat comic sense of design style. She has authored several books, works as senior editor for Where Women Create, and is a Director’s Circle artist for Somerset Studio, a Bonne Vivant for Somerset Life, and a contributor to Romantic Homes magazine. She has created numerous stamp lines exclusive to Stampington & Company and has been featured on HGTV’s That’s Clever! and on the Martha Stewart Show. Smart Bar Leader & Social Media Susan Mernit is the founder of Oakland Local (oaklandlocal.com), a news and community hub for Oakland, California, focused on environmental, food, development, and social justice issues. She is the recipient of a 2009 New Voices grant from J-Lab at American University. She is also a consultant and trainer.
